Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name, through Christ our Lord.
— Collect for Purity, Book of Common Prayer
At Winterlight 33, we will explore what it means for our hearts and lives to be open to God's gaze.
As a community, we will seek the ways we are inspired and renewed to enter into a deeper relationship with the God who created us, knows us and loves us and the ways we might magnify that love in the world.
Begun in 1976, Winterlight is a time for teenagers to gather, celebrate, explore their thoughts and beliefs, worship and make friends from many states — all within a welcoming, supportive Christian community.
Adults who chaperone youth groups also have a special place at Winterlight. Introduced in 2005, the Adult Program will be included again this year. Adult participants will attend all plenary sessions and will have their own programs.
