Trailblazer Thanksgiving:
An Expedition for Adults
Adults, now there's a Trailblazer Adventure just for you!
Trailblazer Thanksgiving, an adult backpacking adventure, will be offered Nov. 25-30, 2008. Give thanks for God's creation while immersing yourself in its beauty.
For ages 18 and up, Trailblazer Thanksgiving will include five days and four nights of backpacking through picturesque Pisgah National Forest.
The program will focus on backpacking and camping skills, fostering a familial community between participants and taking time along the way to experience and appreciate the wonders that surround us.
The Trailblazer Adventure is committed to Leave No Trace principles. These practices will be emphasized during the Thanksgiving expedition as we give thanks for the earth and its bounty.
Itinerary
Check-in will be from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Bob Campbell Youth Campus, followed by dinner and orientation.
After packing and other final preparations, we'll leave for Pisgah and hit the trail mid-morning Wednesday, Nov. 26, for five days and four nights of backpacking, rock climbing, group camaraderie, mountaintop views and creek lined valleys.
