Affiliated with the Episcopal Church since 1928, Kanuga Conferences is situated on 1,400 mountain acres near Hendersonville, North Carolina, with scenic Kanuga Lake at its center. We welcome more than 25,000 guests annually to the year-round conference center, Camp Kanuga, Camp Bob and the Mountain Trail Outdoor School.
Kanuga provides a varied selection of programs:
- Camp Kanuga, a summer camp for ages 7-15 with a Trailblazer Adventure backpacking expedition for 15- and 16-year-olds.
- The Mountain Trail Outdoor School, residential environmental and adventure-based program for public and private schools, also offering team and confidence building sessions for adult groups.
- Camp Bob, 10 sessions of summer camping at the Bob Campbell Youth Campus for disadvantaged children, ages 8-15, co-sponsored with interested groups from 18 cities in seven states.
- Conferences, religious and educational, sponsored directly by Kanuga, held in virtually every month.
- Guest Periods, when families, couples and single persons gather for a shared time of Christian community, playing, studying and worshiping together.
Kanuga is also open as a hosting facility January through late May, a few weekends in June and from September through December. Church groups, nonprofits and businesses are all welcome to enjoy our hospitality, inviting lodging and meeting facilities, a measure of privacy and freedom from distractions.
